Meaning
Two whole lines sit inside four broken ones, so the weak outweigh the strong: the hexagram is the small excess, a time for small things done with more care than usual, and not for great ones. Legge's Judgment promises "progress and attainment", and the rest of it gives the image of a bird whose song is best kept low: it is not well to ascend, it is well to descend. The Image has the superior man lean a little further than usual towards humility in his conduct.
Human Design places gate 62 from 20°45′ to 26°22′30″ Cancer, in the Throat centre, which the system ties to expression and action. Its channel, which the school names Acceptance, runs to gate 17 in the Ajna; the pair is in the Understanding circuit of the Collective group.
The engine names the gate Detail; the Definitive Book, as the pyhd tables record it, has the plural, Details, a difference only of form. We read the gate, in our own words, as care with small things: the facts and particulars put into words, attention given to the fine grain. The hexagram's flying bird is the warning against soaring past what the details support. Joined to gate 17, following, the gate can be read as the evidence an opinion needs before it is spoken, and the modesty of saying no more than that.
Opposite gate 62 on the wheel is gate 61, inner trust, its inverse in the figure. The school names the Right Angle Cross of Maya from 62 and 61 with 42 and 32.

Gate 62 covers 5°37′30″ of the zodiac, from 20°45′ to 26°22′30″ Cancer, the 31st gate counting from gate 41. In 2026 the Sun passes through it from 13 July to 19 July, and within a day of those dates in other years. Each of its six lines covers 56′15″:

falseWhat the record shows: The wheel is Ra Uru Hu's arrangement: Shao Yong's 11th-century circle of the 64, rotated so that hexagram 41 starts at 2° Aquarius. No Chinese source ties a hexagram to degrees of the zodiac.
