Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy (Washington and Nevada)

Last updated: October 25, 2026

This policy is for people who live in Washington or Nevada, or whose information is collected there. It explains what "consumer health data" we might hold, why, who receives it, and how to use your rights under Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's consumer health data law. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers everything else.

IT & Data Security LLC, operating as EsoTerrier, is responsible for this data. Contact: privacy@esoterrier.com.

1. What health data we might hold

EsoTerrier does not ask for information about your health, and our readings are written not to make statements about anyone's health. Even so, we could hold consumer health data in these cases:

  • Geomancy questions that mention your health, a medical condition, a treatment or a procedure. Before you cast with a question of your own, we ask you to agree that any health details in it are stored with your casting and used for your readings. You can withdraw this consent at any time by deleting the casting in your account, which deletes its question.
  • Readings written from such a question, which may refer to it.
  • Copies of AI requests and answers containing that question or reading, which we keep for 90 days.
  • Messages you send us that mention your health.

If a reading ever stated a health condition for a person, we would treat that statement as consumer health data too.

2. Why we use it

Only to:

  • store your geomancy casting so you can come back to it;
  • write the readings you asked for;
  • keep the copy of the AI request and answer for 90 days, to check quality, investigate problems and handle disputes; and
  • answer your message.

We collect and use this data only with your consent or as needed to provide what you asked for. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use geofencing around places where health care is provided. If we ever wanted to use it for any other purpose, or share it beyond the list below, we would ask for your separate consent first.

We do not run Google Analytics, the tracking pixel or our own page statistics on the pages that show a person's charts and castings, or their readings.

3. Where it comes from

From you, when you write a geomancy question or a message, and from the readings we generate from what you wrote.

4. Who receives it

The geomancy question and readings that include it go only to:

  • service providers that process it for us under contract, and only to provide the Service: our AI providers, which write the readings (Anthropic today; we may also use OpenAI or Google); Akamai (Linode), which hosts our servers, database and encrypted backups; Cloudflare, our network provider, which carries every request to the Service; and Amazon Web Services, which stores reading PDFs (S3) and sends reading emails to you (SES);
  • people you choose, when you use the share feature to send them a reading; and
  • authorities or courts, if the law requires it.

We have no affiliates that receive it.

5. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • know and see: confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, get a copy of it, and get a list of everyone we have shared it with and how to contact them;
  • withdraw consent to any use that relies on your consent;
  • delete: have your consumer health data deleted. We also tell the service providers that hold it to delete it; and
  • appeal if we refuse a request.

We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

How to use them. You can delete a geomancy casting, and its question, at any time in the app, and delete any reading. For anything else, email privacy@esoterrier.com with "Consumer health data" in the subject line. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We reply within 45 days; if we need more time, we will tell you within those 45 days and take no more than 45 more.

Appeals. If we refuse your request, we tell you why. You can appeal by replying to that email and asking us to review the decision. We answer within 45 days and explain the outcome. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General (atg.wa.gov) or the Nevada Attorney General (ag.nv.gov).

6. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and keep the earlier version on our past versions page. If a change is material, we will tell you by email and in the Service before it takes effect. We will not collect new kinds of consumer health data, or use it for new purposes, without telling you and asking for your consent first.
