Meaning
Thunder is above and fire below: movement and clarity at once, the height of abundance. The hexagram knows that a height is a moment. Its Judgment tells the king not to be anxious, in Legge's English, "Let him be as the sun at noon": shine fully now, though the sun will decline. The line texts are full of light obscured, a screen so thick that the stars are seen at midday, and then of brightness returning.
Human Design places gate 55 from 0°07′30″ to 5°45′ Pisces, sixth on the wheel, in the Solar Plexus centre, the motor the system ties to emotion. Its channel, which the school names Emoting, runs to gate 39 in the Root; the pair is in the Knowing circuit of the Individual group.
The engine names the gate Spirit. With its hexagram, we read it in our own words as abundance of feeling, and its weather: moods that are full and then empty, a noon followed by an eclipse. The hexagram's advice is not to grieve the coming decline but to be fully what the moment is. So the gate can be read as a spirit that does not depend on the mood staying high. Joined to gate 39, the obstruction that provokes, it can be read as feeling that is stirred up and passes. The school names a cross, Spirit, from this gate at its Left Angle.
Opposite gate 55 on the wheel is gate 59, scattering, and the school names the Right Angle Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix from 55 and 59 with 34 and 20.

Gate 55 covers 5°37′30″ of the zodiac, from 0°07′30″ to 5°45′ Pisces, the 6th gate counting from gate 41. In 2026 the Sun passes through it from 18 February to 24 February, and within a day of those dates in other years. Each of its six lines covers 56′15″:

falseWhat the record shows: The wheel is Ra Uru Hu's arrangement: Shao Yong's 11th-century circle of the 64, rotated so that hexagram 41 starts at 2° Aquarius. No Chinese source ties a hexagram to degrees of the zodiac.

The Solar Plexus centre, where gate 55 sits, is an organ or gland, and the gate tells something about the body.
unverifiedWhat the record shows: The centre's name is a name. The schools' pairing of the centres with organs and glands, taken from the chakra books of the 1920s, has no physiological correspondence that anyone has shown, and we never read a gate or a centre as the body or its health.
