Meaning
The character 蠱 shows a vessel with worms in it, and the hexagram is decay and its repair. Wind blows low under the mountain and stirs what has settled. The Judgment, unusually, promises great progress and success, because the hexagram is not about the rot but about dealing with it; it advises weighing well the "three days before the turning point, and those (to be done) three days after it", in Legge's English. Its line texts are a family's: a son putting right what his father, and once his mother, left wrong.
Human Design places gate 18 from 3°52′30″ to 9°30′ Libra, in the Spleen centre, which the system ties to instinct and intuition. Its channel, which the school names Judgment, runs to gate 58 in the Root, the centre of pressure and drive in its terms; the pair is in the Understanding circuit of the Collective group.
The engine names the gate Correction. With its hexagram, we read it in our own words as the instinct for what is not right, followed by the work of repairing it. The line texts are generous: the son who sets right his father's errors spares the father blame, and the second line warns against pressing correction to the utmost. So the gate can be read as correction that improves things rather than condemns people, and the channel to gate 58, the joyous lake, as the energy that wants things to be better.
Opposite gate 18 on the wheel is gate 17, following, which is also its pair in the I Ching's order. On a chart a gate is a place where a planet may stand at birth; it fixes no task and judges no one.

Gate 18 covers 5°37′30″ of the zodiac, from 3°52′30″ to 9°30′ Libra, the 44th gate counting from gate 41. In 2026 the Sun passes through it from 27 September to 2 October, and within a day of those dates in other years. Each of its six lines covers 56′15″:
