Life Path 3, which we call the Communicator, is one of the twelve Life Path numbers drawn from a birth date, and the modern school reads it as expression, creativity and sociability. It is reached when the reduced month, day and year add up to 3, 12, 21, 30, 39 or 48, about 11.1 percent of the days from 1900 to 2099.

Meaning

For the modern school the Life Path 3 is expression: words, pictures, performance and the lightness that makes other people listen. It reads the 3 as a life about finding a voice and the discipline to use it. The gifts are imagination, charm and enthusiasm; the shadow is scattered effort, a taste for the surface and a reluctance to go deep. Decoz stresses the need for discipline; Cheiro's people born on the 3rd, 12th, 21st and 30th are proud and independent rather than playful, a different portrait under the same digit.

Three is the number older lore loved most. Agrippa calls it holy and perfect, the first number with a beginning, a middle and an end, and lists its trinities, from the three persons of God to the three dimensions of a body; odd numbers, he reports, please the gods. None of that is about talking well, but the sense of a thing complete enough to be shown runs through both readings.

Six sums reach the 3: 3, 12, 21, 30, 39 and 48. The smallest, 3 itself, needs a month, day and year that each reduce to 1, as on 1 January 1990 (1 + 1 + 1 = 3); more often the total is 12 or 21, as on 6 January 1985 (1 + 6 + 5 = 12). The larger totals need a 22 among the parts: 22 April 1993 gives 4 + 22 + 22 = 48, then 12, then 3.

From 1900 to 2099 the 3 falls to 8,116 days in 73,049, 11.11 percent; from 1926 to 2025, to 4,060 in 36,525, 11.12 percent. No karmic debt reduces to 3.

The master number 33 doubles the 3 but belongs to another digit: 3 + 3 is 6, and the school reads 33 as a heightened 6, not a heightened 3.

The planet line, as history

Agrippa's remainder rule gives Jupiter to three, and Heydon, Sepharial and Cheiro kept it; Agrippa's chapter on the numbers sacred to the gods also gives three to Jupiter, the Sun and Venus together, his three fortunate planets. The Life Path came three centuries later and has no planet of its own.
