Free Seven Rays chart

Your birth chart indicates rays by Alice A. Bailey's tables: the rays she gives your Sun sign and, with a birth time and place, your rising sign, with their ruling planets. Bailey gave no way to calculate a person's rays, so these are indications only.

Enter your birth date, and the time and place if you know them, to see what your birth chart indicates by Alice A. Bailey's tables: the rays of your Sun sign and, with a time and place, of your rising sign, with their ruling planets. These are indications, not your rays.

Your birth details

The local time where you were born, as on a long-form birth certificate. Without a birth time and place there is no rising sign, so only the Sun sign's rays are shown.

Choose the town or city from the list; we use its position and time zone. The list needs JavaScript turned on in your browser.

About Seven Rays

Your Seven Rays profile is two columns kept apart: what your birth chart indicates by Alice A. Bailey's tables, and the five rays you confirm for yourself after a questionnaire, one each for the soul, the personality, the mind, the emotions and the body, with how sure you were of each.

The seven rays, from Will or Power to Ceremonial Order or Magic, are Bailey's teaching, set out in books from 1936 to 1960 on a doctrine the Theosophists of the 1880s had made before her.

How we compute it

Bailey's sign and planet tables (Esoteric Astrology, 1951) applied to tropical positions from NASA JPL's DE440s. Bailey gave no way to calculate anyone's rays: in her teaching a person comes to know them. In a free account, our questionnaire suggests a ray for each of the five levels and you confirm each one.
