The image
The picture is a crowd of working people marching through the streets, with banners, slogans and the noise of many voices. No city, year or demand is named. Where the strike in Gemini 8 stops work, this image takes the workers out into public view to be seen and heard. In 1925 the clairvoyant Elsie Wheeler saw this picture for an unseen card, the one marked Gemini 21.
Meaning
Read as a symbol, the march is the strength of numbers made visible. A grievance that one person could not make heard becomes impossible to ignore when thousands carry it down the street together. Our keyword is Mass pressure, and our keynote reads it in one line: numbers and noise are used to force a change of conditions. The tradition would read a placement here as a place where a person joins with others to push for something, or feels the force, welcome or not, of collective opinion. The image is about how pressure is applied in public.
Lynda Hill reads a degree with the one before, her Karmic Condition, and the one after, her Quest Degree. Before Gemini 21 is Gemini 20, the self-service cafeteria; after it is Gemini 22, a dance held in a barn. Read by her rule, a crowd of individuals each choosing for themselves becomes a crowd acting as one, and the march looks ahead to a community celebrating together after its work. The degree opposite, Sagittarius 21, shows a dog and a child each wearing someone else's spectacles; as a reading aid it sets borrowed ways of seeing beside a crowd that insists on its own.

A planet or point anywhere from Gemini 20°00′ up to, but not including, Gemini 21°00′ takes this degree. The rule is to count the degree a position is in from one, so a Moon at Gemini 20°08′ reads Gemini 21, and so does one at Gemini 20°59′. Close to either edge, a small change in the birth time or the ephemeris moves a placement into the next image: into Gemini 22 after Gemini 20°59′, or back into Gemini 20 before Gemini 20°00′. That is why the chart shows the minute beside the degree. - Uses the symbols as an oracle, with her own commentary, and reads each degree beside the one before and the one after. Her rule and her two names are cited here; her text is not used.
