Cardology compatibility: two birth cards side by side

Cardology compares two people through the Life Spread: whether either birth card sits on the other's life path, which cards both paths share, and the karma cards that pass between them. Enter two birthdays to see yours; nothing is stored.

On the life path
Each birth card has a life path of eleven cards in the Life Spread: the card just before it (the Moon card), the seven after it in the Mercury to Neptune places, then the Pluto, Result and Cosmic Lesson cards. When one person's birth card is on the other's path, the tradition reads it in the sense of that place. The link often runs one way only.
The ruling card
One place on each path holds the ruling card, set by the planet that rules the Sun sign. When the other's card sits there, the comparison says so.
Karma cards
Most cards have two karma cards, found from where the card sits in the Life Spread and in the natural order of the pack. The tradition reads people born under the first as learning from the card's holder, and people born under the second as helping them.
Shared cards
Two life paths often hold some of the same cards, each in its own place: the same card can be what one person leans on and the other's hard lesson.
Places in the spread
Every card sits in a row and a column of the Life Spread, each named for a planet from Mercury to Neptune, or in the crown line of three cards above it.

Why there is no score

The tradition names links between two cards, in one direction or both; it gives no measure of a pair. A percentage or a rating would be our invention, so the comparison lists what the spread holds and leaves the reading of it to the two of you.

How it is found

Olney H. Richmond's Life Spread (The Mystic Test Book, 1893), with the life path and karma cards by the conventions Robert Lee Camp popularised. We show the links the spread contains and give no score.
